Президент України Петро Порошенко провів телефонну розмову з Президентом Сполучених Штатів Америки Дональдом Трампом.

Петро Порошенко привітав свого колегу з інавгурацією на посаді Глави Сполучених Штатів та висловився за активізацію діалогу на всіх рівнях з новою американською Адміністрацією.

Співрозмовники обговорили питання зміцнення стратегічного партнерства між Україною та США.

Особливу увагу було приділено врегулюванню ситуації на Донбасі та досягнення миру політико-дипломатичним шляхом.

Сторони висловили глибоку стурбованість через ескалацію напруженості та погіршення гуманітарної ситуації передусім у районі Авдіївки. Вони наголосили на нагальній необхідності встановлення режиму повного припинення вогню.

Президент України подякував Главі Білого дому за тверду підтримку суверенітету та територіальної цілісності України.

Петро Порошенко висловився за активізацію економічних і ділових зв’язків, що сприятиме створенню нових робочих місць і зростанню добробуту громадян обох країн. 

Під час розмови також було обговорено майбутній візит Президента Петра Порошенка до Вашингтона, для підготовки якого до США поїде міністр закордонних справ України.

President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with President Donald Trump

Petro Poroshenko congratulated Donald Trump on his inauguration as the Head of the United States and called for the strengthening of a dialogue with the new U.S. Administration at all levels.

Both leaders express readiness to explore additional steps to enhancing the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States.

A particular attention was paid to the settlement of the situation in Donbas and to achieving peace by political and diplomatic means.

The two leaders expressed deep concern about the spike in tension and deterioration of humanitarian situation, especially in the area of Avdiivka. They stressed on the need for establishing immediate ceasefire regime.

The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Head of the White House for firm support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Petro Poroshenko highlighted the need to intensify economic and business ties in order to assist in creating new employment opportunities and boosting the welfare of citizens of both countries.

They also talked about the forthcoming visit of President Petro Poroshenko to Washington, the preparation of which will be in focus of Ukraine’s Foreign Minister’s travel to the US.
